A Little Bit of Background

Travis Software Corp. was founded in June 1986, shortly after the enactment of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA), which mandated group health continuation for the first time and created the market opportunity for the company’s first product, the TravisCobra desktop software system.

After TravisCobra’s early success, we expanded our product offerings, releasing TravisFlex in 1987 and the Retiree Premium Billing System in 1989 (now “TBILL”). Over 4,000 employers, TPAs, and benefit administrators have installed these three systems (and their Windows-based successors) to aid them in administering the employee benefits offered to employees, retirees and dependents. With WebCOBRA On Demand, the most recent progression in COBRA administration software, we’re offering our customers a way to perform COBRA administration and Retiree Billing via the Internet.

Travis provides support on each of the systems and they are updated periodically to keep up with new and changing Federal and State benefit laws and regulations while adding features and enhancements as suggested by customers. The company also has an aggressive development program for new products, designed to meet additional benefit administration needs of new and existing customers.
