What Travis is Doing to Enhance TravisCobra
Category: New Features
Topics: features, traviscobra, version 8.8

In addition to releasing Version 8.8 of TravisCobra on August 31st, we also want to let you know about several additional enhancements to TravisCobra that are in development now.
In early October we will release a system version that will reflect customer requests received since the ARRA craziness died down. Some highlights of this new Version 8.8.1 will include:
- A new Option to mask the first five characters of the SSN wherever it appears in the system – on reports, letters, etc. (except when it is being entered into the system for the first time);
- The ability for the SSN to be masked or suppressed in ACH records that are sent to your bank from the system;
- A new user-defined subject line on Emails that send reports for use with the End-of-Month Reporting Module;
- A new question when a user enters a manual termination, that asks, “Do you want to print a termination letter to this person?” This new choice is intended to reduce letters that are printed and then thrown away when manual termination is used to correct errors rather than to actually terminate someone from coverage;
- A new question when a user enters a reinstatement of a PQB, that asks, “Do you want a reinstatement letter generated for this participant?” This new choice, like the one above, is designed to reduce letters that are printed and then thrown away when a reinstatement is entered to correct an error or when a termination letter has not yet been mailed.
Additional features planned for Version 8.8.1 include updates to the standard HIPAA Certificate of Credible Coverage suggested by the DOL as well as updates to the system for California and Texas state continuation coverage.
