Enhancements Planned for WebCOBRA

Since June WebCOBRA users have noticed an uptick in the number of enhancements Travis has added to the system. Also, the pace of enhancement has quickened. Our plan is to continue to update WebCOBRA with new features, and we are working on some pretty significant enhancements.
These are some of the capabilities we will add to WebCOBRA in September:- Administrative Fee Invoices are getting a makeover, with QB names being displayed rather than just the QB identifier, and easier-to-understand column organization to substantiate the fees calculated.
- The Active QB Listing Report will have a Grand Total of QBs for all employers.
- Emailing of automatically-generated reports is getting some security options. Reports created using subscriptions will be stored in a secure FTP site and an email can be sent either to the client or to you (for secure forwarding to the client) which will contain a link the client can use to view the report, download it securely, print it, etc.
- Premium disbursements are being further enhanced. An already-printed check number will be able to have its check number edited, so that if a disbursement check is lost and then replaced users won’t have to void/redisburse the premium.
- System functionality will be updated to reflect recent changes to New York, Texas, and California state continuation laws.
- WebCOBRA will be able to import “full population” Employee files and store only those records that have not been stored previously.
- Continuing our makeover of the look of reports, the “Reconciliation by Plan” report is being redesigned to look more like a spreadsheet and be easily usable when exported to Excel.
- Non-Cash payments entered into WebCOBRA can be (optionally) shown as disbursed in the premium disbursement reports.
- To reduce letters that are discarded, when a QB is reinstated the user will be asked, “Do you want the system to generate a Reinstatement Letter for this QB?”
- Similarly, when a QB is manually terminated, the system will ask the user, “Do you want the system to generate a Termination Letter for this QB?”
We think you will be thrilled with the improvements we’re making to WebCOBRA in the near term and with the new features listed above and over the longer term. As we get closer to making those longer-term improvements available to you, we will send you samples of the modified displays and the other features our developers are about to complete.
