Using ADS on a 64-bit Operating System

If you have invested in a new server and/or computer that operates in a Windows environment, you may have noticed that Windows has begun using 64-bit operating systems, rather than the previous 32-bit systems.

While this change does speed up the processing power of your machines, it has also made us take another look at the compatibility of our own systems here at Travis with the 64-bit systems. After analyzing our system compatibility, we found the only issue that arose involved the Advantage Database Server, ADS, files.

If you are currently operating on version 7.1 or higher of ADS, then your system will not have a problem operating in a 64-bit environment. However, if your version is older than 7.1, you will need to upgrade your version of ADS.
