100 Days of ARRA: Tell us Your Story! [Poll]
Today marks the 100th day since the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed, enacting what proved to be the largest change to COBRA regulations in recent history. Below, tell us your ARRA story and answer a quick poll about COBRA participation.
For Travis, when ARRA was signed, it meant a culmination of strategic planning that had to be put into action. For you, it meant meeting notification deadlines and interpreting laws at a rapid-fire pace.
We wanted to mark honor these past 100 days by listening to you!
In the comments section below, share your ARRA stories with us. How did you handle the influx of work? What reactions did you have from QBs when they heard of the 65% subsidy?
We also want to know:
Of course, the dealing of ARRA isn’t over. All of us here at Travis are still working hard for you, so that administering ARRA beyond the next 100 days go as well as the first!

ARRA was just in time for our layoffs that took place in March, unfortunately for me i was inundated with both…but the information to our laid off employees was received really well, of course most of them enrolled.

Many of our groups had significant lay offs from January on. Your quick response to the changes in the regulations was tremendous. I know of many other office who are still struggling to get their systems where you had Travis by the end of March. I anticipate you still have more work to do since I beleive that this regulation is still evolving and I appreciate your all your hard work to stay on top of it.

I did answer the poll but trust me – my comments about ARRA are not appropriate for the general public to see! It’s not Travis – you all did a great job in the very short time you had to do it and the new report looks great!

I’d like to ask what payment is pulled on the new ARA Payroll Reduction by Payments Report.
It appears that when you run this report for a given month only the first payment durring the month shows up, even if additional payments were made durring the time period. Is this correct? If so what is the logic behind only showing the first payment and not all payments durring the period?
Thanks

Hello, I just called the support line and they suggested I post to the blog. Pennsylvania just signed into law a Mini-COBRA. The law will take effect July 10, 2009, but go back to terminations June 10, 2009.
Will updates be available in WebCOBRA to support the new law?
Thanks!
