There may be more to the WebCOBRA experience than you know about! WebCOBRA has niche communities that are designed to help you get the information and influence we want you to have. Below are the two community sites we provide and the thinking behind them.

IdeaBook

The ideabook is our newest community, and it was created when we finished selected enhancements for our Summer ’08 release of WebCOBRA. We looked around and had completed the roadmap we mapped out in 2005, and decided to try something new.

We wanted to open the doors, and ask you, the WebCOBRA community of users, what enhancements and features you would most like to see in the system.

Some of the best ideas we added into our systems over the last 22 years have come as ideas from customers. So we’re extending that thought process and letting you vote!

The basis is: the best ideas will float to the top; we then add those to the system.

DevCenter

When we launched the WebAPI in 2007, we wanted to create an open forum for IT staff to solve issues and problems in a cooperative manner. This center for developers (devcenter) was born, and has helped IT worked investigate issues and download new versions of software.

All information on the DevCenter is open and free; we don’t allow any personal information to be posted on the site, and in general the issues discussed are system wide questions, rather than individual cases.

Since the launch of the Relational API, which is a full copy of your WebCOBRA database, the DevCenter has morphed into away for developers to ask about the schema of the database, and get advice for the best queries to use to get the right data.
